Question #41: Whey protein......?
hi frns can anyone tell me how to take one scoop of ON Whey Protein...the scoop is as big as half a glass....i was kinda shocked..but u cant take that much with a one glass after workout....currently i jst use a normal spoon since whey protein doesnt dissolve that much.....small quantity dissolves more..so how do we solve this prob.....pls guide me thanks......

Answer: it dissolves fine for me. the scoop holds only some ounces. put it in a shaker or blender if you want. to be big you have to eat big

I'm thinking about adding Whey Protein to my workout, because I would like to gain a little muscle mass, do I take the Whey Protein before or after my workout? and do my workout have to be hard or light?

Answer: If you're wanting to gain muscle mass, take protein at regular intervals in the day, and before AND after your workout. General rule of thumb is 1 gram per pound of body weight (but that depends on your diet, too), and your body will process it easier in smaller intervals. Heavier weight with lower reps will help build mass if you do it right, but everyone is different and what worked for me may not work for you. It's all about body type, metabolism, diet, etc... Your best bet is to see a personal trainer once or twice. Good luck sculpting your fabulous new bod. lol

Is it safe for a 16 yr old to take whey protein to build muscle mass or is it to soon? Will it cause any health problems? I was thinking of getting like BSN or MUSCLE MILK or MUSCLE TECHbecause on some of them it says to be at least 18

I asked a question about Losing the fat in my chest and gut, and someone said to drink whey protein after I worked out. Is it alright for a 15 year old to drink this stuff. I know what it its.

Answer: you need protein if you are trying to lose weight and gain muscle. if you are fifteen you will be fine taking it. just cut down your calories and increase your protein and work out. you should not have a problem

Question #46: Whey protein consumption?
I started to use Whey protein to help gain muscle. It said to take a gram of the whey protein for every pound u weigh. for example u weigh 100 pounds so u take 100grams a day. I weigh 170, i put 170 grams in a glass to see how much it would be and it was a lot. It filled up one of my large glasses to the top. I highly doubt u would take it in one session. Does anyone use whey? and do u use that much or would i split up the 170 grams throughout the day? Oh and one more question, have u seen better results with whey protein. thanks and good night

Answer: It all depends on the person myself whey protein does nothing for me i use a blended protein it digest much slower than whey and keeps your muscles fueled longer keeps you muscles in an anabolic state longer much better for you.

I am 21,female...and under-weight. I've joined gym to gain some muscle mass,as suggested by a doc.....Now, my trainer told me that there's no way i can gain weight easily for someone like me coz' after sometime...its all back to square one. He suggested to take some protein supplements esp. Whey Protein, if i want to maintain the muscles i m working on by next day...so i don't have to work from scratch again. Answer: whey protein can help u build up sum muscles if u wanna gain sum weight den start eating as much as u can try to keep ur stomach full with healthy food.dont drink too much coke and stop eating junk food. try to eat 3 times a day atleast n take sum protein shake after u eat in water or milk. it`s gonna help u a lot. and they got no side effect. i have been takin whey protein since last 2 years i have had no side effect so far. take sum creatine as well it`s gonna improve ur matablism

the whey protein i use is vanilla floavored and i drink it with milk. but everytime i drink it i feel like gagging. anyway of making it taste better?

Answer: I make a shake with frozen strawberries and some vanilla yogurt. It's great! (depending on the vanilla whey powder.) You can go to a yahoo group called proteinpervs and get lots of recipes. Also Vitalady.com sells a whole variety of flavors and you can buy a small sample to check a new kind out before you buy a big tub.

Answer: Whey Protein has no bad side effects but u should drink alot of liquids all day so that non of it stays in ur kidneys or liver, im not sure in which the protein can build up in there, so drink lots of water. And you should take 1 g of protein for each pound you weigh. It will make your muscles thicker and fuller. And you should take it in the morning, after ur workout and before you go to sleep. Muscle-Tech makes the best supplements. Chocolate is the best i think. Taste almost like actual chocolate mild, something you should drink if your trying to lose weight.
