Answer: Proteins are large organic compounds made of amino acids arranged in a linear chain and joined together by peptide bonds between the carboxyl and amino groups of adjacent amino acid residues. The sequence of amino acids in a protein is defined by a gene and encoded in the genetic code. Although this genetic code specifies 20 "standard" amino acids, the residues in a protein are often chemically altered in post-translational modification: either before the protein can function in the cell, or as part of control mechanisms. Proteins can also work together to achieve a particular function, and they often associate to form stable complexes.

Question #16: Whey protein?
I started drinking whey protein with water and some times milk but it taste horrible, are there any products in market that tastes good and also gives lot of proteins? thank you

Answer: Eat correctly and you won't need to dominate your health with supplements. Meat, soy are good providers of protein. But why do you only want to focus on the proteins, not the other builders of an excellent balanced health?

Question #19: Whey Protein?
I exercise alot, and want to build stronger, healthier muscles. My question is, if I take Whey Protein, will it also aid in weight loss as well?

Answer: It could. But the key fact about way protein is this: it is rapidly digested. So it's not the end all/be all of proteins. It's good for right after a workout. At other times, you should look for a casein blend as it's a slower digesting protein. If you load up just on whey, you are gonna have a lot of rancid gas and that's not fun for anyone. The real key for fat loss is aerobic activity though.
