Question #42: My gym I go to I think I'm allergic to, home gym ideas??
I developed allergies this year they get worse when I go to the gym regularly, I think I'll need to get a home gym (its the only gym in town) What complicates things is I have a wonderfull and curious two year old and not a whole lot of space. Ideas?Of course money is an issue as well.

Answer: You should do pilates, plyometrics and strength training...also walk and run around your block for your cardio and some fresh air. Get some heavy ( not too heavy) iron weights and go to the fabulous site
http://www.fheit.com for fabulous home workouts, eating tips, motivation and an inches and pounds lost tracker. Look for something called the Tabata method (called "No Gym? No Problem!) ...it is a four minute workout that WORKS!!(the male counterpart of that site is called "T-Nation" - the t is for testosterone...same great articles and format ~ best wishes and blessings to your busy toddler!!)

Question #43: Fabric, decorating ideas for yoga home gym, garage conversion?
Hi! I'm converting my super ugly garage into a home gym. I found these mats (getting the ones without the border).
http://www.interlockingfloormat.com/tatami_inter locking_mats.htmI have shelves that I'd like to cover w/ fabric or something. I want something somewhat Japanese or asian, or something generally calming, but that brings in other colors. I'm considering bamboo blinds, but I can't find any that are 84" long yet (super long shelves). Any ideas?? I also need pain color ideas.

Answer: Inspirational Posters would certainly be an asset to a gym.
http://jazzywalls.com/inspirationalposters.shtml I found a link for Bamboo Blinds that can be purchased with a length of 84" long.

Question #46: making a home gym, punching bag reccomendations?
so im starting a small home gym for me and my brothers. first purchase is a punching bag. im currently looking at ags at this site

Answer: unless you use wraps for your hands you will tear your hands up on canvas. Invest in the heavier bag. You'll appreciate it later, also it's better for your kicks (doesn't send the bag flying all over). You're better to use wraps anyways so you lessen the chance of a boxer's fracture or a sprained wrist until your wrists are stronger. So essentially I'd get a 100-120lb canvas bag and enough wraps for everyone that will use it. Otherwise they wear out in weird spots because different size and shape hands are using them.

Question #47: Home Gym Equipment (Suggestions)?
I am thinking of purchasing home gym equipment. One machine (preferably) that would work all the muscle groups (particularly arms and tummy) and something that could easily be stored away in a cupboard or under a bed. Can anyone recommended a name brand / type?. I’m fairly new to this and the choice out there is overwhelming.

Answer: Bowflex...expensive but worth it.
