Question: How accurate are the calorie counters on precor eliptical machines?

Question Description:
the program asks you your weight and age and from there can calculate how many calories you are burning. Do these counters take into account how much work you are actually doing, the machine has a watts generated display on it, or is it just taking an average. Does anyone have a percent error in accuracy on these things

Answer#1: On ANY cardio machine you can roughly calculate that you burn about 10 calories per minute. Compare it to the machine read out to see if it's close or accurate.
