Answer#1: I gotta say that Zene has pretty much said everything I would say...all I can add is to suggest the link below.

Answer#2: Here's a recipe for making it. You can find more online if this one doesn't suit you. Just do a search for homemade soymilk. Homemade SoymilkTraditionally soymilk is made from whole soybeans, but it can also be made quickly and economically from soy flour. 3 cups water1 cup soy flourBring water to a boil, then slowly add 1 cup soy flour (do not use toasted soy flour), stirring constantly with a whisk to prevent lumps. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Line a colander with cheesecloth or nylon mesh (a nylon stocking works well) and place over a large bowl. Strain the soy flour mixture through the lined colander. Stir sweetener or other flavoring into the strained soymilk and refrigerate. You can find soy flour or soybeans at your local health food store or online.

Answer#3: Soya is not the best way to lower cholesterol.Better ways are from various food or health supplements such as from the following:Food substances:Pomegranate juice, garlic, grapefruit juice, oily fish (mackeral, sardines, skippers, sild, fresh tuna, salmon), walnuts, almonds, oat bran, oatmeal, green tea, pulses, celery, advocado, extra virgin olive oil.Health supplements:gum guggul, globe artichoke extract, Niacin (a B Vitamin), fish oil capsules, soy lecithin and psyllium husk powder. The problem with soya is it can suppress the activity of the thyroid gland so I would avoid it if you have a family history of hypothyroidism and/or you think you may have a sluggish thyroid gland. If you have hypothyroidism then don't take it at all. Soya can also interfere with testosterone levels having an effect on sexual function and more. I don't believe it should be given to children at all because of its endocrine (hormonal system) disrupting properties. Plus men are best staying away from it unless they have been advised to take it by a doctor. A better quality source of protein if you want to take protein shakes is whey protein. Hope this helps.Best wishes.

Answer#4: Soy milk can be obtained at all major supermarkets. The price is slightly higher than cow's milk.At small stores it is not always available and if it is you pay a lot more.
