Should i take whey protein before working out or after..how many glasses a day..??

Answer#1: It's actually a good idea to take some before, during and after a workout. Drinking a little bit before hand ensures that you have protein in your body for when you begin your workout. Whey protein is the fastest acting protein there is, so even after your first sets, your body will begin to absorb protein into your muscles. For this same reason taking a few gulps throughout your workout is a good idea. But if you don't want to spend lots of money, just make sure you're taking one after no matter what. After a workout your muscles are damaged and fatigued and require protein to build bigger and stronger. If you don't get protein into your body within about an hour after your workout, you body can actually break down muscle tissue to get the fuel it needs. This results in muscle wasting, which is something no lifter ever wants. As for your question about how many glasses. I would say you should have 2. One for your workout and one before bed. Make sure that the one you have before bed has minimal carbs and fat, and that you mix it with just water. The reason it is beneficial is because you will have a source of protein in your body while your muscles are repairing themselves during sleep. As well your body burns calories breaking down protein so you can actually burn more calories than you normally would in your sleep. It's all a matter of opinion but I hope this gives you a start in the right direction!
