Question: whey protein?

Question Description:
does whey help your muscles get bigger faster? what i really want to know is will whey protein satisfy your hunger in the morning at all or does it have no effect on hunger?

Answer#1: whey protein doesnt help your muscles get bigger faster, but it helps ensure you are getting the needed protein to enable your body to rebuild to its best ability. i personally like to take whey post workout and first thing in the morning before breakfast. it is a fast digesting product and i find that it does not fill me for very long. if you are looking for something that will satisfy hunger, i would suggest looking into meal replacement shakes. they contain a blend of whey and casein proteins, carbs and fats. they tend to stay with you a little longer than a regular whey shake.

Answer#2: in my oppinion it works really well for muscle growth. I put it in smoothies/shakes and drink them in the morning..and they really fill you up to where you aren't hungry for hours. And then i workout later in the day ....and ive seen great results.

Answer#3: What´s your goal? if it is weight reduction you should take a whey powder that is low in carbohidrates like Optimum nutrition or Twin lab´s . If it is building muscle you should take whey and other bulk foods like eggs, nuts, rice, pasta chicken , potatoes, peanut butter, etc. And to answer your Q : whey has no effect on hunger unless you mix it with skim milk and add fruit, oats, granola etc.

Answer#4: It will not help your muscles get bigger faster. Protein is simple neccesary for muscle building, eat a normal amount of meat or other protein sources every day and you will gain the same amount of muscle you would otherwise. A diet deficient in protein will result in muscle atrophy, as well as other body malfunctions. It does have an effect on hunger, as does all food. Interesting fact is that the typical American consumes about 40% more protein then is neccesary. The rest goes more or less goes to waste.

Answer#5: protein is used for growth + repair in the body, hence the reason why it helps muscle growth. Protein really has nothing to do with hunger in the morning. I would recommend anything with minimal sugar in the morning because it gives you the feeling of being full but an hour later your starving.

Answer#6: no.
