Question: when I walk, jog, or do the eliptical my calves hurt and are get really sore, if I do not do any cardio than?

Question Description:
how can I lose weight? I stretch before I exercise and I do not exercise for that long.......30 minutes, I do not know why my calves are so weak, the rest of my body is fine after exercise, my calves hurt right now, I did the eliptical yesterday for 30 minutes

Answer#1: I had this problem when I first started elliptical training. It took about 2 months before the pain went away. I guess I just had weak calves and I needed to build muscle. I would try lowering your resistance. Cardio is the best way to lose weight. To date, I have lost 40 pounds doing the elliptical 30 minutes a day burning 400-500 calories per session depending on my speed/resistance. You can do it!!!
