Question: My treadmill needs a key?

Question Description:
yea um i have a treadmill,we used to well my mom used to use it alot when i was only 6 yrs now im 14 yrs and i dont know where the safe key is to start the treadmill up and i really need to do alot more running, i currently run practicaly everyday its just i really want to do it on my treadmill that we had since i was six,and how many calories does it take to gain weight, no saying that i want to gain weight i just want to know so i can avoid it

Answer#1: i am doing rehab on my right knee i had acl surgery. i have used a treadmil at my physical therapy office and we dont have a key for it either. i put a couple of 2x4's uder the front of it to give it some incline and walk on it for 15 minutes. it is great for my knee and it may work for you until you can get a new key

Answer#2: it takes 3500 calories in excess of what you burn each day to gain one pound. your resting metabolic rate is probably at least 1200 calories, so you would have to eat 4700 calories in one day (without running) to gain one pound. Now about your treadmill key, (this happened to me) you gotta look up the model of your treadmill and assuming they are still in business, write the company and tell them you need a key. they will send you a replacement.
