Question: Treadmill?

Question Description:
Is going on an eliptical just as good as going on a treadmill? because i do better on an eliptical.

Answer#1: I've heard that Elipticals can be just as good or even better than treadmills because they give your upper body AND core muscles a workout, not just you legs. They're also a little better as far as being "easy on the muscles" goes- nothing to strenuous on your feet and ankles (a lot of runners get feet/ankle/knee problems, which I assume is much less common in eliptical users. Plus, in my strict opinioin, they're more FUN! Just running in a forward motion gets kind of boring to me after a while. I must say, however, if you feel yourself getting winded a lot later on an eliptical than a treadmill, make sure you do the eliptical for longer than you would the treadmill to get an equivalent workout!Good Luck!

Answer#2: It always help to have variety in training. The whole world understands that now. But yeah the treadmill can get kind of mundane.

Answer#3: eliptical is better. ive had a treadmeal and it reallys puts alot of stress on your knees and ankles. if you use a treadmill wear ankle and knee support.

Answer#4: doing something you enjoy is always better

Answer#5: i probably sound like a retard,,,,,,,i mean a slower person but what is an eliptical?

Answer#6: well it's better on you back because of less impact. one thing you want to do though, is make sure on the elliptical is that you have enough resistance. you don't want to be running freely as you won't get a good enough workout.

Answer#7: Ellipticals work better on me too! I think it is because you have more of a range of motion. The elliptical I use has an incline, which works more muscles.

Answer#8: An eliptical machine is actually better because it is lower impact on your knees. Both however will provide an effective workout.
