Question: treadmill ?

Question Description:
ok so i was wondering about the treadmill. im about to buy one, and i want to figure out a excercise plan to lose as much fat as possible. im not fat or anything, just want to get rid of the extra. Is it more effective to run or walk? how often and how long should i ? what about incline ?

Answer#1: Hi, let me give you my answer, i just started the gym about 3 weeks ago, and i said they is no way so fast i will start to see anything yet yes you will tredmill love it i do this walk for one to two mins then run for one to two mins and buy a exercise belt that goes around you stomach its like 5 dollars at walmart but yes i have dropped one pants size already i love the treadmil do it.

Answer#2: Start off with a walk. Walk at a moderate pace for about 15 minutes. After, sprint for as long as you can. I usually put my treadmill on 6.0MPH for 10 minutes, but whatever you can pull off is good. After that, stay at a jog for 15-20 minutes, switching to the end of your route at a moderate walk for 10.Do this three times a week.Along with running, you can pick up some Pilates tapes at any local store such as Walmart, Target, or KMart. They have a fitness section with tapes and equipment. Pilates is body sculpting and core strengthening. A combination of Pilates and running will help you lose any extra fat you have.

Answer#3: Nature is cheaper. Look around to see if your area has any "up and down" areas to walk. Of course, there is danger of being alone in public, so a friend to accompany your walk, run, etc. would be best. Also, you are not staring at a blank wall or donut commercials on tv, but seeing the sites of the city and nature.

Answer#4: try walking for like 10 minutes at a high incline, then sprint for a minute or two...go for like 30-40 minutes. never tried it but i heard it works

Answer#5: I seen a thing on TV last night that said cardio wont help you lose weight and that weight lifting is the better way to go. It says that it will be more efficient and that it will keep the weight off longer. So i suggest to get a bowflex machine and do that for 30 minutes a day. It is great, I have one! It seems right too, looking in a gym the people that are doing cardio are fat, obese and dont look happy and the people lifting weights are happy and skinny and strong.

Answer#6: Your treadmill should come with instructions. Whatever you do, drink lots of water!
