Questions & Answers about Treadmill

Question #41: Treadmill or Treadclimber?
I'm over the whole gym thing and I want to try working out at home. I'm considering buying a fairly cheap treadmill or making payments on a BowFlex Treadclimber. I know when it comes to treadmills, they can be quite pricey and the warranties arn't that great. Has anyone used the new treadclimber? Did you see results? How long?

Answer: When my grand-daughter started with her new treadclimer she was very enthusiastic. You can only get results by effort.Personally I reckon a good walk and healthy diet are as good as these treadies. My g-daughter says she's lost three pounds,in two weeks

Question #42: My treadmill needs a key?
yea um i have a treadmill,we used to well my mom used to use it alot when i was only 6 yrs now im 14 yrs and i dont know where the safe key is to start the treadmill up and i really need to do alot more running, i currently run practicaly everyday its just i really want to do it on my treadmill that we had since i was six,and how many calories does it take to gain weight, no saying that i want to gain weight i just want to know so i can avoid it

Answer: it takes 3500 calories in excess of what you burn each day to gain one pound. your resting metabolic rate is probably at least 1200 calories, so you would have to eat 4700 calories in one day (without running) to gain one pound. Now about your treadmill key, (this happened to me) you gotta look up the model of your treadmill and assuming they are still in business, write the company and tell them you need a key. they will send you a replacement.

Question #43: treadmill questions?
ok well i have a question. i have been using the treadmill for about a month trying to loose weight. i decded to do this after i went up a pant size. well lately when i try on pants i feel that they are very loose in the stomach and are either tight or ok fitting in the thighs. i thought that by using a treadmill my legs would get leaner and not my stomach but it seems that my stomach keeps on getting smaller and nothing is happening to my legs. so when you exercise on a treadmill what parts of your body are you suppose to burn fat from?

Answer: My guess is that since your on the treadmill that the muscles in your legs are getting bigger.

Answer: i've been told that you can't trust anything on the display window of an exercise machine except for the time--i don't think the calorie counters are accurate

Question #46: Treadmill..?
I use a treadmill to get my exercise in for the day. My question is: Are there any little things I can do WHILE on the treadmill to get maximum or double the results? For instance, someone suggested using a little Tai-Bo moves to get my upper working. Will this work, is there anything else, or should I just stick to the powerwalking alone?

Answer: Stick to powerwalking

Question #47: Treadmill Question?
I'm getting a treadmill tomorrow and I'm trying to lose a little bit of weight. Does anyone have any experiences of losing weight just like running or walking on the treadmill. I don't have any other exercise equipment, just a treadmill. So have any of you lost weight just by running ,and in how much time did it take you to lose this weight and how much did you lose? Thanks so much.

Answer: A few years ago, i was 40 pounds above weight.I walked for TWO hours five days a week. (I ate a lot of yougurt and the usual stuff I used to eat)Within 2.5 months, I had lost 40 pounds.40 pounds off, just like that! commit yourself to this "hard labor" for only 2.5 months and you'll be a princess.Good luck!
