Question: Whey protein question... Any help will be appreciated?

Question Description:
I am a 15 year old guy, who just bought a pouch of whey protein for $4. But I have a couple questions...1. It has 60g of protein but says it is for ONE shake, any way i could divide this up into 2-3 drinks? (Its kind of expensive)2. Is it bad if I dont use it consistently? If I have one every other day for the next week then dont use it again for awhile is that bad?3. How should I divide it up? It says pour into glass w 12 oz of cold water... how much water should i put in if i only use 1/2 or 1/3ANY HELP!? Thanks Brian

Answer#1: heres a good shake recipe..... maybe ur parents can buy the rest of the ingredients :Dmilk-protein (one scoop, about...2?? tablespoons?)-peanut butter, banana, some tasteless fiber (if you have it, no big deal), some flaxeed oil if you can find it..... and then blend it with a few pieces of ice!yuuum!thats the only advise i can give in addtion to what everyone else said.... and yeah the packets are a rip off, try to save up and by the big jug.. u can buy em at walmart they arent too expensive & just as good as the GMC brand in my opionion.and to answer ur question... it doesnt matter how much water u use, its whatever consistency you want. but id highly recommend milk, its much tastier that way.Its not bad if you dont use it consistently but you wont really get the effect if you only do it a few days a month. you could basically just eat a shit ton of chicken and eggs to get more protein from normal food that ur parents might pay for.....

Answer#2: I would think then you could divide the 12 oz. of water in half (6 oz.) or in thirds (4oz.) 60 g. divided in half is 30 or 20 g for thirds. Ask a math or science teacher how to convert the grams into ounces to be sure! I would think that using the protein at all to supplement would be fine. Im not an expert but with the cost you have to use what works for you.

Answer#3: uc an divide it up any way u like, your prolly not that big so 60g would just go to waste dont take more then 30g....if your not going to the gym dont even take the portien.protein shakes are nothing something u have to use constantly, whe i wanna get bigger i take 2 a day every day i go to the gym.you can put in as much or as little water as u like, adding water to protein doesnt mess it up, i dont add alot b/c i dont like the taste and i just chug it then drink water right after.

Answer#4: If you have a very limited amount of money, then take the shake post workout when your muscles need the fast digesting protein the most. Otherwise, milk and other lean meats will be just as beneficial unless you are looking to become an arnold swarzenegger lookalike. If you like, you can add half of the sachet to milk rather than water, this will help add some slow digesting proteins to your shake and also make you feel like you have had something to drink. It also makes the flavour more tasty.

Answer#5: Umm...Being 15 your body cant handle 60 grams in one serving. It can handle about 30. Buy a jar of it the packets are a waste they take too much screwing around to measure out. Also the part you dont want to hear...You are only 15 and your body hasnt fully gone through puberty yet so dont expect to get huge off of anything....And try and use it consistently if you take it.
