Question: What's a better overall workout? 3 miles on the treadmill or 3 miles on the eliptical?


Question Description:
I usually walk/run 3 miles on the treadmill but yesterday I tried the eliptical for the same distance and noticed I burned a considerable amount more calories. Are elipticals the better bet for an overall body workout?

Answer#1: i love the elliptical alot better than i like the treadmill. the elliptical is for lower and upper body.. and yes you burn alot more calories.. especially if you put it on a cross trainer mode.. than it always varies on the level..


Answer#2: I would say that the elliptical is the better of the two choices. If you want an even better workout, try going outside and doing 3 miles the old-fashioned way.


Answer#3: It's probably best to mix it up a bit and use one on one day and the other on another day! That way, you always keep your muscles guessing.
